Primary enuresis is usually an easier issue to deal with, with no underlying medical condition. Secondary enuresis indicates that a child has previously had control of his or her bladder but has begun wetting the bed regularly.

Seeing a physician is recommended in order to determine the type of bed-wetting issue that your child has in order to respond with appropriate measures. Cases of secondary enuresis are usually caused by a physical or psychological problem, and will therefore respond well to specific treatment.
