Normally you'd separate the guests into two different groups, giving each group a bag of written clues. Each child would pull a clue from the bag and upon reaching the next destination of the next clue, be rewarded with a favor. With this new version of this birthday game for kids, give each child a goodie bag filled with favors and several paper i.o.u.'s. You'll have the bag of clues. Each child will pull a clue and upon reaching the destination will find the name of another guest. If a child finds his/her own name, simply swap it with another guest.
Each child returns to the starting point after finding the name. When all the children have their names and have returned to the starting point, each guest must give either a favor to the person whose name he/she found. Then that same guest must give either a favor or a paper i.o.u. to the guest whose name is found. The winner of this birthday game for kids is the child who has the least number of favors and the most number of paper i.o.u.'s left inside the goodie bag. A pretty clever message from a birthday game for kids, isn't it?
